Searching for good (almost) vegetarian recipes for Rosh Hashanah I stumbled across several interesting sites:
- In a Vegetarian Kitchen has a menu for Rosh Hashanah with Challah (Jewish Egg Bread), Seven-Vegetable Couscous, Carrot and Sweet Potato Tzimmes and Honey Cake
- Chabad is also sometimes good – they have four menus for Rosh Hashanah on their web-page: www.chabad.org
- This Double Apple Kugel also sounds good…. Actually RFCJ seems to have interesting recipies as well
- Foodieview also has an extensive list of recipes for Rosh Hashanah
- holidays.bfn.org/roshhashanah/ – they have a list with articles on Rosh Hashanah and recipes
I think I will make the following recipes: 😉
- Mom’s gefilte fish
- Carrot and Sweet Potato Tzimmes
- Either Merl’s Kugel or the savory Kugel in my German Jewish Cookbook. However, I am also tempted by the Double Apple Kugel
- Honey cake
Luckily Agathe is making the Challah 😉
