Just uploaded some pictures from my recent trip home to Bergen:
While in Bergen I saw these peace flowers “growing” on a house wall near Høyden. Taken with my S95.
Returning to my mailbox series – this time from outside the former Soviet Union – here is a mailbox from Bergen, Norway. Taken with my Canon S95.
After going to a show at the Big Apple Circus we walked across the Lincoln Center plaza and saw Avery Fisher Hall and its reflections on the wet pavement. Taken with my D700 and 50mm 1.8.
Taken at the MoMa this picture of my Cappuccino demonstrates a normal New York streetscape: cabs. Taken with my Canon S95. Here are more of my New York pictures:

While relaxing at a dacha outside of Samara last summer I passed by this half-abandoned house inhabited by these three billy goats. Taken with my D700 and Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens.
While visiting Amsterdam we saw this “No smoking”-Sign on the sidewalk. Taken with my D700 and my Nikon 20-35mm at 35mm.

Titled “Das Regime und die Dandys – Russische Gaunerchansons…Continue reading “Das Regime und die Dandys” – book on russkii shanson
While walking through Amsterdam this leg with a knife appeared in a window. Taken with my D700 and Tamron 90mm 2.8.
During my summer vacation I also spent a week at my grandmother’s place. During my stay there was an old timer car show with mostly old American cars: My grandmother also turned 94 during my stay (which was the main reason for my trip): And of course I also took some pictures of my family:
