Deer

Deer

Last weekend we visited Thomas in Osterburken and saw these deer after lunch. Taken with my D700 and my 70-200 f2.8.

Window bell

Now this is a cool concept: A door bell next to the window at a local restaurant (Gasthaus) in Mannheim. Taken with my D700 and Tamron 90mm f2.8.

Paper-mâché Man

This Paper-mâché Man greeted Ella and me one morning on our way to kindergarten. Taken with my Canon S95

Swedish Winter Landscape

Swedish Winter Landscape

While the winter sun remains quite low in the horizon at my grandmother’s place in central Sweden (about 500 km north of Stockholm) the colors are nice when the sun starts to set in the early afternoon. Taken with my Canon S95.

Talk box

Talk box

A view from the Scorpions’ talk box taken during their sound check at the SAP-Arena in Mannheim in November with my Canon S95. More pictures can be seen here:

Jenny the cat

My aunt’s cat Jenny normally runs away when approached, but I managed to catch her resting on the sofa with light coming in from the window. Taken with my Tamron 90mm lens attached to my D700 and converted to black and white in post-production.

Fontanka view

Fontanka view

To compensate for last week’s snow in Mannheim (which is already gone.. ;-)) here is a view of the Fontanka canal in St. Petersbug. The picture was inspired by the cover of Billy’s Band album “Парижские Сезоны” and taken in August with my 20-35mm 2.8 attached to my D700.

Henrik

This picture of one of my good Danish friends (and colleague) Henrik Smith-Sivertsen was shot shortly before I moved to Mannheim. Taken with my D700 and a Nikon 70-300mm with two off-camera flashes (one flash through a shoot through umbrella and the second flash reflected through a silver lined umbrella) triggered with CLS.

Autumnleaves

Autumn in Mannheim

Autumn slowly – but surly – has arrived in Mannheim as this picture from Luisenpark shows. Taken with my Tamron 90mm lens attached to my D700.

Say hi to Mr. Okapi

During a recent visit to the Copenhagen Zoo we also saw some Okapis – this picture being my favorite from that visit. Since visiting a Zoo entails being behind a fence (or other form of barrier) my Nikon 70-300mm was a good tool, enabling me to capture the Okapi at the lens’ longest focal length.

13

13

In honor of my recent move to Mannheim here is a picture I took during May 2010 when I came to the city for a job interview at the Popakademie. This number 13 was taken with my D70s using one of my favorite (as well as one of Nikon’s qualitatively best bargains) lenses, the 50mm…Continue reading 13
