Yahoo! News has a fun article on annoying air travel habits titled “Are YOU an Annoying Passenger?“. My favorite is this one: “Clapping upon landing? Really? This one isn’t so much annoying as it is baffling. How exactly did you imagine this flight would end?” 😀
While living in Russia I was struck by the fact that the Russian postal service used different mailboxes and I decided to take a picture of some of them. This one was taken in Uglich while on a river cruise from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
Sitting in St. Petersburg sweltering in the heat (30+ C) this image of waves breaking at the beach near Kronborg castle in Helsingør offers a slight cooling down. Shot in 2009 with my Nikon 20-35mm f2.8 lens at 20mm on my D700.

Some pictures from this year’s second trip to Mannheim – instead of rain it was hoooooooot. But I did walk around and was thus able to reminisce about when I lived there in the early 1980s…
Here are some pictures from this years St. Hans fire by Gentofte Sø:
After some consideration I decided to incorporate a photoblog where I sporadically will post some of my pictures that I like. The first one is from Gentofte Sø, the lake near to where I live.
The University of Bergen (UiB) created a cool video to combat academic plagiarism. It stars amongst others the head of the university library and my former old norse teacher as well as a lot of quotes (of course with references ;-)). Have a look and enjoy! Thanks to Agathe for the link! 🙂
since some may not have noticed, i have not been on facebook since last november. 😀 for those who still want to get a glimpse of newspaper articles i think are interesting and have been reading lately (which i used to post to my facebook wall), there is a remedy – my instapaper starred items…Continue reading interesting articles
