Dresden mailbox

Continuing the mailbox picture series this mailbox was spotted in Dresden. Taken with my D700 and Nikon 50mm 1.8. Here are some more pictures from Dresden: Dresden

Warhol’s banana

During our visit to see the cherry blossoms in Schwetzingen we passed by Andy Warhol’s banana used on the Velvet Underground’s debut album “The Velvet Underground & Nico”. Taken with my Fuji x100t.

Austrian mailbox

Continuing the series of mailboxes here’s an Austrian specimen with some interesting stickers from my recent trip to Vienna. Taken with my x100t.

Für Party ohne Patriotismus

I came across this sticker drawing on pop cultural references while waking home: Quoting Major Strasser’s question “What is your nationality?” and Rick’s answer “I am a drunkard.” from the movie Casablanca the sticker adds “For party without patriotism!” Taken with my X100t.

Belarusian mailbox

Here is a bonus mailbox from Minsk – with a view towards Victory Square. Taken with my D700 and Nikon 50mm 1.8.

Belarusian mailbox

Finally an update to the mailbox series – this time with a Belarusian mailbox from Belposhta. Taken with my D700 and Nikon 50mm 1.8.

Police Line Do Not Cross

While walking around Chinatown we passed this control barrier with “Police Line Do Not Cross” – blocking traffic from entering a street fare. Taken with my D700 and Nikon 16mm 2.8.

Selber Schwabe

The German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg is trying to get people in Berlin to move to Baden-Württemberg. One of the tools are stickers like this one with Selber Schwabe written on it. Taken with my D700 and 85 1.4.

Les Miserales or Les Misérables?

Walking through Manhattan we passed this Loews’ theater by Union Square with a nice typo (which remained for the next two weeks). Taken with my Canon S95.

Devlish Honda

This New Jersey Honda Acura had its Acura-logo altered in a devilish way – resembling the logo of the New Jersey Devils. 😉 Taken with my Canon S95.

Window bell

Now this is a cool concept: A door bell next to the window at a local restaurant (Gasthaus) in Mannheim. Taken with my D700 and Tamron 90mm f2.8.
